NarroWay is a motley group of Christ followers dedicated to glorifying God in music. Whether we are singing a good ol' bluegrass gospel song, a piece from one of our favorite secular bands, or one of our own original tunes, we give all glory to our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Progressive Bluegrass is our style, but we only say that because it is the closest fit to our brand of eclectic harmony and music! Give us a listen and see what you think, sing along, but clap in time! --- The NarroWay Team

NarroWay: All Things Work for Good - RELEASED!!!

Woo-hoo! - the album has been completed and we have the first set of CDs in our possession!

God has been so graceful to both pull together a great team as well as blessing us with what we think are some good songs. We give Him all glory!

I though it might be a good time to give you some of the rationale and back-story on the album songs, so without further ado, here are the songs with the backstory down below the links:

Backstories:

1) All Things © JD Longmire 2007 - based on Romans 8:28, this songs second verse is a mini-testimony of God's healing power. My wife Amy (who sings the 2nd verse) was stricken with a debilitating disease that caused excruciating pain - she bowed to the Lord's will...and He healed her! Hallelujah!

2) Fixed on the Prize © JD Longmire 2007 - based on Philippians 3:14 and 1 Corinthians 9:24 this song was the very first one I wrote for the group!

3) Devotion © JD Longmire 2007 - well, what is there to say about this song except WOW - my 11 year old wrote and sings this song - what a powerful testimony! I am SO proud of him! (And in case my baby girl is reading this, I am SUPER proud of you, too! :) ).

4) Soli Deo Gloria © JD Longmire 2007 - Latin for "Glory to God Alone" - this song is based off of 1 Cor. 10:31 and Romans 15:7 as well as being of the principles of the Reformed tradition, my doctrinal foundation.

5) Here Am I © JD Longmire 2007 - based off Isaiah 6:8 and defines the character of the Savior who calls us.

6) Sweet Spirit © JD Longmire 2007 - take a look here for some of the inspiration - He is a Sweet Spirit, indeed!

7) Then You Shall be Saved © JD Longmire 2007 - almost a word for word transcription of Romans 10:8-10 with a little 3:23 thrown in for good measure! :)

8) Who the Party's for © Charlie Thornburg 2007 - this song was a blessed addition, granted to us by our brother and new team member, Charlie Thornburg! Charlie sings lead - Amy and I do backup vocals with Amy on violin - see if you notice the reference to 2 classic Christmas hymns... Perfect for the Christmas season!

9) Joy in the Morning! © JD Longmire 2007 - based on Psalm 30 and most of Revelation! :)

10) All Things (remix) © JD Longmire 2007 - this is a tribute to the talent of our co-producer and sound engineer extraordinaire, Brian Anderson!

And speaking of Brian, I did want to mention that I left out 2 important credits in the Instruments section - Brian played keyboard (and pretty much everything else!) on the remix and my lovely and talented wife, Amy played all the violin/fiddle parts on all the songs.

Sorry, folks - old age complicates things!

One more time, thanks be to He who inspires our creativity and has given us the honor of image-bearer. We pray that these simple songs gladden your heart and pays tribute to our 3-in-One God. Praise His Name forever!

In Christ,

JD Longmire

Latest stuff from the studio!

NarroWay is teaming with our friends at Mirage Recording studio to produce our first album.

Here are a couple of recent pieces:

Amy Longmire singing "At Last" (not our normal genre, but she did it for a wedding and I liked it! Won't be on the albumn, though...lol!)

Micah Longmire (12) singing a song he wrote!
